Arnaud’s Restaurant in New Orleans was famous for serving its strawberry dessert for $9. But things changed when they decided to introduce their most expensive dessert on Valentine’s Day in 2016. The dessert comes with an engagement ring from MS Rau Antiques, boasting a 10.06-carat royal blue diamond. The French Creole restaurant serves the dessert with their strawberries dipped in ruby sauce, sprinkled with cinnamon, vanilla, and whipped cream. And it is served with champagne and their signature French 75 cocktail, and of course, the ring as well.

This two-layer fruitcake was ordered by the Takashimaya Store in Tokyo, for publicity or you can say to attract more customers. This diamond-studded cake was designed in six months. The famous pastry chef of Tokyo took a whole month in the making of this most expensive cake.  The pattern on a cake consists of 223 diamonds together weighing nearly 170 carats. Though no one took a bite of this cake, because of diamonds in it, yet it fetched a price of 1.67 million when it was auctioned.

The delicious dish holds a Guinness world record of being the most expensive dessert in the world. The ingredients include 28 varieties of chocolate, of which 14 are the most expensive and rare in the world, edible gold foils, and 23-carat edible gold particles in whipped cream.
